The solution to your overflowing paper stash! An idea good enough to make you cut your paper!

Are like most other paper crafters and have an overflowing paper stash? Or another common problem for paper crafters, cutting into that gorgeous 12X12 paper!

Well, I am here with a solution to both problems! I have a tutorial for this cute pencil holder. You can use it to stand on a desk or you can add magnets to the back and hang it in a locker or on a file cabinet. My daughter has claimed this one for her locker when school starts.

Crystal-light-mix container I started with a empty Crystal Light container that I cut down to 4" from bottom to top edge. Be sure to leave the bottom attached. I cut the top off with my craft and rubber scissors.

Cup-makingI cut a piece of designer paper to 4 1/2" X 9" to wrap around the plastic container. Next brush Mod Podge on to the container and lay down the paper. I brush the Mod Podge in sections so that it doesn't dry before I need it. A little bit of the paper will overlap. Place the paper flush with the bottom and leave the 1/2" extended above the top.

Cup-topMake small cuts about 1/4" apart around the top of the container. Spread some Mod Podge around the top inside of the container. Press the cut edges down to the inside. Cover the entire outside of the cup with Mod Podge.

Alternate-pencil-cup Decorate the front as desired. I used the Alphabet Simple Letters Bigz Die and the Big Shot for these letters and flowers. I used the Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper to decorate the container, letter and flowers. All of the pieces are added to the cup with hot glue.
