It’s an Out The Door Birthday Card for Boys

Blue-jetI have 4 boys so I can see  making a lot of boy birthday cards in my future. I had several activities planned this morning and realized as my son Jack was on his way out the door to a birthday party he needed a card. So I make a quick, simple and minimal layer card that I call an "Out The Door" card.I used the plane from the Need For Speed stamp set.

This is a card that is a card that can be made in 2 minutes right before it need it. Now, I don't recommend that you do this often, but it does happen from time to time.

This is not the actual card that I sent with Jack because that one had to go out the door quickly. I remade it with a different set so I would have some on hand. So, no more "OTD" cards for a boy's birthday for a while.

A technique that works great for boy cards is the generational stamping. I stamped the plane in the lower left corner and then repeated it to the upper right with out re-inking the stamp. The repeated stamping shows movement. When I think of boys, my boys anyway, I think of movement. This technique makes a quick and easy card.
