How To Use the Core’dination Paper With Embossing Folders

Coredination-leavesI hate to mention it, but I have noticed leaves turning color lately. While I don't mind the fall colors, it is what follows the color season I am not looking forward to seeing.

So, right now I will just think about the fun new fall products and what I can do with them. I made these leaves with the new Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso Core'dinations card stock.

It is a special card stock that has a different color core so you can distress it and get a different tone. I cut both of these leaves out with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and then ran them through the Big Shot with the Chevron and Woodgrain Embossing folders. After embossing them, I sanded the high areas with sandpaper to reveal the core color.

I used the French Foliage set with the VersaMark pad because the VersaMark can make a subtle background on any color card stock and leave the focus on the leaves. Then I grabbed one of the new Brushed Bronze Buttons, tied linen thread through the buttons and pinned on the little tags.

The video below features the Core'dinations card stock and how to use it with the sanding block. (If you cannot see the video be sure to go to my blog.) I have been having so much fun with the Core'dinations paper.
