Pulling Back A Favorite Color Combination Plus One!

Summer-Silhouettes-Clean-anDo you ever get color combinations from clothing? I was sitting in church yesterday and noticed the little girl's dress in front of me had the same colors from one of my favorite summer color combinations plus a blue between Pool Party and Tempting Turquoise.

So I made two cards, one with Pool Party and one with Tempting Turquoise. I put the one I liked better here and the one I need to rework over on Facebook with a question.

If you go over to Facebook you are welcome to leave a suggestion on what to change. Maybe I should just start over! If you decide to visit me there be sure to "like" my page!

It is so easy to make clean and simple cards with the Summer Silhouettes Stamp Set. I just love this stamp set! I have so far only used it with Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink, Gumball Green and a blue, but I know it can be so beautiful in other colors too. I could see a nice Summer Starfruit card with these images.

Today's card is based on a sketch from the Clean and Simple stamping web site. I like sketches to start a card because it makes my stamping go quicker. Sometimes it is overwhelming to have so many choices. If you are having difficulty starting a card, choose a few products and go from there and I am sure something will come more easily.

  1. I had to laugh about your source of inspiration. There is this little old lady in my church who (even though she has plenty of money) has always made most of her clothes. While the clothes themselves are nothing to brag about, she chooses lots of fabrics that make me think of wonderful color combo for cards. I have yet to actually make any because I usually forget by the time I get around to stamping. But I sure have seen some great combos!
