What Colors Should I Use For A Fall Rubber Stamped Card?

I was pulling out my leaf images to make a few fall cards and I looked over my ink pads trying to decide which colors to use. I came up with a few color combinations I thought worked great. I am going to share one color combination today and another one tomorrow.

Gently Falling

Today's colors are: Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Early Espresso. What do you think of these colors? Do you like them together? I also paired the Trust God and Gently Falling stamp sets. I think they work very well together.

The Gently Falling stamp set is a 2-Step Stamping set. That means that the solid image, inked with a lighter ink, is stamped first and then the details, inked with a darker ink, are stamped over the first image. Stamp "off" the solid image to achieve the lighter and darker colors with one ink color. Stamp the solid image on to scratch paper and then on to the project. The details are used full strength over the solid image.

Did you notice the fun Designer Ribbon Slide on the ribbon? They are available in the Holiday Seasonal Catalog. They work really well with the 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain ribbon. I like how they can be used with a masculine or feminine card. Sometimes it is hard to find embellishments for masculine cards. I will have to find other ways to use this embellishment.

The background is done with the Woodgrain embossing folder with the Early Espresso Core'dinations card stock. A great way to get the amazing background is to to emboss the Core'dinations paper and then sand the raised surface so the core color shows through. I think this is the best wood grain background I have seen.

Check back tomorrow for another fall color combination.
