Postage Due Sketch Card To Share Today

Hilton Head Island

Wow, what a difference a day makes. We had an amazing wonderful weekend relaxing on Hilton Head Island with Stampin' Up! and the other Incentive Trip achievers. Then on Sunday when we went to the airport we found out our flight had been cancelled and we had to be re-booked. Let me tell you that getting a flight to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is not the easiest place to reschedule a flight. I had to spend another night in Savannah, GA (if you have to be stuck this is a good place to be stuck) and now I am playing a bit of catch up, but I should be back on track today!

I fell in love with a sketch from Retrosketch and knew I wanted to try it right away. Stampin' Up! gave us the Postage Due set and accessories when we were on Hilton Head Island and I knew it would be perfect for this sketch. "Imagine The Possibilities" is from the Word Play stamp set. Check out the limited special for this set.

I used the embossing resist technique to stamp the main focal image of this card. It is a great way to get multiple colors when you have a detailed image like this stamp. I stamped the image with Versamark ink, sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set. After the powder was cool, I sponged the different colors over the stamped image. It is a great technique for a "wow" look.

Guess what? I am getting really close to a quarter of a million hits on my blog and it is time to celebrate! I think I will hit it late today so I will be posting blog candy tomorrow in celebration. The candy will have a lot to do with the stamp set I used today. Check back tomorrow to enter the drawing.
