Embossing Series Day 5: Emboss Resist With A Twist

Today I have the Emboss Technique of Emboss Resist, but I added the twist of removing the embossing powder after I covered the card stock with ink. By removing the embossing powder you are able to stamp over the masked off areas. Just think you can make background paper with any image that you just love!

Emboss Resist Technique with Collage Curios
The flower that I used to make the "background paper" is from the Oh, Hello set and the embellishing was done with images from the Collage Curios stamp set. I have seen several samples of cards using this grouping effect and I really like it for the Collage Curios stamp set.

Emboss Resist Technique With A Twist
You remove the embossing powder by placing your embossed piece between two pieces of copy paper and then ironing over the top sheet. The heat from the iron will melt the powder and the copy paper will pull it off your card stock into the scrap paper. Now you can stamp over the masked off areas without worrying if it will dry.
