DIY Paper Feather and Envelope

This card and envelope is completely inspired by one shown at Stampin’ Up!’s recent convention because I wanted to try the techniques new to me. The envelope was a breeze to make and the paper feathers are showing up everywhere. I have photos showing the steps to make the feather below. I used the Happy Day and Chalk Talk sets for this card & envelope.

Did you notice the embossed button? I used Early Espresso Embossin’ Powder and a VersaMark pad to emboss the Very Vintage Button. It is done just like I embossed the brad in this post.

The paper feathers are easy to make with a circle punch or circle framelit. Punch out a circle and then move the punched out piece up and punch or cut again to for the pointed oval. See the step by step directions below to finish the feather..
