How To Make The String Envelope With Video Tutorial

Welcome back today to see how to make the String Tie Envelope for the card I made yesterday. I also used the handmade feathers from yesterday’s tutorial. I was surprised how easy it was to make this envelope.

How to make a string envelope

I used patterned paper from the Soho Subway Series paper. Don’t forget that during the month of July you get one package of Designer Series Paper Free when you buy 3. I have already gone through so much of this paper that I know I will have to get some more.

See the video tutorial below on how to make this envelope. I used:

  • 7 3/4″ X 7 3/4″ piece of Designer Series Patterned Paper
  • paper snips
  • Simply Scored or Paper Trimmer
  • 1/2″ circle punch
  • 1/16″ circle Punch
  • Metallic Brads
  • Baker’s Twine
  • Adhesive
  • Stamps and ink are optional

Hello, could you kindly tell me the name and brand of the angled ruler mat that you used in this tutotial and also whether you know of any large circle cutters that you can recommend.

    Many Thanks.

If you mean what tool I used to score the paper, it is the Simply Scored (#122334) tool by Stampin’ Up! and is available in my online store.

I do not have a circle cutter that I have really liked. I do love my Circle Framelits and I use a lot of punches.

      Thanks for coming by.
