A Great Way To Make Your Gifts More PersonalPosted by Christine Miller on Aug 7, 2013 in 3-D, Summer Craft Camp, Uncategorized | 0 comments
I am part of a group of friends that gets together to celebrate our birthdays and we usually bring a small gift. I often bring handmade gifts or an item that I have spruced up. I was thinking that most people like to get a plant and that it would great to add a little something to decorate the pot. It was so easy to decorate this clay pot with a ribbon and a little clay tie on.
To color the Simply Pressed clay, I added a few drops of Crumb Cake refill to the a small amount of clay and kneaded it until the color was even.
Roll out the clay to form a disc shape. I rolled mine between some freezer paper with the coated side to the inside.
Cut out shape with a round cutter. I used a bottle cap that was the size I wanted.
Stamp the clay with a stamp and ink. Notice I also made a hole so I could hang the piece.
Paint the image with acrylic paint. Let dry.
When it is dry cover it with Crystal Effects to get a glossy protected look.
Decorate your gift.
The ribbon and the package tie-on supplies are available in my online store.
