Question: What Is Stamping Off?Posted by Christine Miller on Aug 5, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
Q: What is “stamping off”?
A: Often my written directions for projects include the term “stamping off” on to scrap paper before you stamp on your card stock. This term simply means to ink up your stamp, stamp on to scrap paper and then stamp on to your card stock without re-inking the stamp. This technique is also called second generation stamping.

Stamping Off or Second Generation:
I like using the Second Generation stamping when I want a lighter image or a subtle background image. This technique also allows people to use one ink color to get multiple shades.
