Summer Craft Camp: Pop-Up Butterfly CardPosted by Christine Miller on Aug 21, 2013 in Summer Craft Camp, Uncategorized | 0 comments
Butterflies just feel like summer to me so I decided to make a fun pop-up butterfly card to brighten someone’s day. This is the easiest pop-up card I have seen with just a little piece put behind the pop-up to make the butterfly stand out.
Cut a 3/4″ X 4 1/2″ piece of card stock that matches your card base. Score it at 1″, 2″, 3″ and 4″. Fold the score lines. Glue the 1/2″ that overlaps the square to itself to make a square. Glue the the square into the center of the card base fold. Glue your pop-up piece to the front of the square. It is as easy as that. Then all you have to do is decorate your pop-up.
I included a piece of Whisper White card stock matted with a piece of Crushed Curry card stock for a writing surface. The tone on tone Lattice Die cut adds a bit of detail behind the butterfly in the center. I know I will be using this easy pop-up method again.
