So About That VersaMarkPosted by Christine Miller on Sep 18, 2013 in 3-D, Big Shot, Uncategorized | 0 comments
Yesterday I teased about re-inking your VersaMark with the Heat and Stick powder on Twitter and today I am here to share the project I was making. I am fine tuning the projects for the upcoming glitter class and realized how important that a well inked VersaMark pad is when you are working with the Heat and Stick Powder.
Look at this fun bag topper I made with the Best of Halloween set and some of the black glitter from the current Holiday Catalog. I knew I wanted a glittered house so I set about stamping my image with the VersaMark ink with Heat and Stick powder sprinkled over it. I was not happy with the results because it was not holding much glitter. I made sure my Versamark had plenty of ink by re-inking it and Voila I had a much better glittered house.
That little topper is made with the Circle Card Thinlit and man was it easy! I love using the Thinlits just the way they are designed, but I am always on the look out for ways to extend my stamping tools and this was a fun way to use the Circle Card Thinlit. I cut out the Thinlit base just like normal, but then I cut it down so the top and bottom edges were even. After the base was trimmed down it made a nice little square topper.
