Review of the Everyday Occasions Kit By Stampin’ Up!

I received my Stampin’ Up! Everyday Occasions kit and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised how much I like it. I like the Exclusive Stamps that are included and think they have a nice selection. I really like the birthday stamp included with the kit.handmade birthday card and thank you card made with Stampin' Up! kit

The above cards are made from the directions included with the kit and designed by the Stampin’ Up! artists. Both of these cards use some of the Silver Glimmer Paper included in the kit.

These are designed for the new stamper, stampers without a lot of time, or even younger stampers.  This kit would be a great gift. The picture directions are easy to follow are show 20 cards that can be made from the kit. There are even a few pieces left over.

If you live in the Houghton, Michigan area you can see this kit in person at my table at The Bluffs this Saturday. I will be there with the Craft Show starting at 9:00 and I will have one kit there you can cash and carry.

The stamps are the clear mount and there is one block included in the kit to mount your stamps. I am a bit puzzled at the block included because it is thinner than the regular blocks and does not have the curved finger grip edges. I am assuming they did this to keep the cost of the kit lower. If you stamp a lot you will prefer the blocks from the regular catalog.

The tags, some of the embellishments, and card bases are printed which means they are not colored through. This definitely has a different feel than the regular SU! card stock, but for the amount of cards you can make from the kit you may be ok with this. One benefit of the printed card stock is that you have a white inside for a writing surface.

There is a “Made For You” stamp included in the stamps. This stamp has the Stampin’ Up! copyright image so you can use it for the angel policy requirements for selling your finished products. Contact me if you would like more information about the angel policy.

You will also need scissors, Mini-Glue Dots and regular adhesive to complete the cards. Stampin’ Up! does offer a bundle that comes with the scissors and other adhesive products.

There is quite a variety of stamps, embellishments and papers included in the kit that you could even create your own cards and projects and do not have to follow the directions. I used some of the elements with other products I have to create my own card. You can see it on my Facebook page.

I would recommend this kit for new stampers, younger stampers and someone interested in trying it out. If you have been stamping for a while you may still like the kit. The images are nice, but you will have to decide if you like the printed paper. You can see all of the card ideas when you download the flyer using the link above.
