Last week on my Facebook page I was featuring different ways to use up any of that patterned paper that you may have just waiting to be used, and I am still coming up with more ideas and thought I would share one here.
This wreath was made with 4″ and 3″ squares of patterned paper curled into a cone and then hot glued in place. You can see pictures of these steps below. This wreath can easily made in one evening and you can put your Christmas patterned paper to good use.
I used the Joyful Christmas stamp set for the center Poinsettia. I decided to keep this wreath monochromatic, but it would also be beautiful done in multiple colors.
I used 15 – 4″ squares for the back or red layer of cones and 13 – 3″ squares to make the top layer of cones.
Bring the right and left corner together and curl the paper into the cone shape. I used a small staple to hold the cone in place. Do not use corners that are next to each other.
The first layer of cones are hot glued to a chipboard circle and the second layer of cones is hot glued to the first layer.
