Do You Use The Trendy Gold In Your Cardmaking?Posted by Christine Miller on Mar 20, 2014 in Cards, Uncategorized | 0 comments
One of the biggest trends to recently hit cardmaking is the use of gold accents, but do you know how to add gold to your paper crafting projects?
In today’s card I added gold in 3 ways with 3 different great products from Stampin’ Up!. First, I embossed the image from the Sale-A-Bration set You’re Lovely set with gold embossing powder which is a great way to subtly add gold to your card. It’s great because you can use the powder with any image.
I also used some of the Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape to add gold under the focal image. I used a bit of all 3 of the patterns that come in the package. Washi tape is so awesome because it is easy to tear and if you can carefully pull it up if you don’t like where you placed it. I love washi tape for adding to my projects.
By adding the individual sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim you can add gold accents and place it so you pull the viewer’s eye across the project. Remember that odd numbers are more pleasing to the eye than even number of embellishments. Just add the sequins with just a bit of glue.
The image from the You’re Lovely stamp set is one of the exclusive stamps for Sale-A-Bration (Free product with a $50 purchase) and will not be available after March 31st. If you want this set be sure to place your order soon.
