The new coffee sets from Stampin’ Up! are so much fun and popular right now. I already had the Coffee Cafe Bundle from the annual catalog and couldn’t wait to order the coordinating Merry Cafe set from the Holiday Catalog. These sets are perfect for coffee gift wrapping.

Coffee Candle Wrap

Right now Dollar Tree has these fun coffee candles available to add to a coffee themed gift, and I created this fun cardstock candle holder. You need two pieces of cardstock measuring 2-3/4″ X 11″ and 2-1/2″ X 9-1/4″ to make the base. You can find all of the scoring measurements in the picture below.

Cutting Directions

Score and fold all of the lines on the longer piece. Score and fold the lines on the smaller piece, but you will also have to do some cutting. Cut off the top and bottom small corners. I like to make my cuts at an angle, so they nest better. Cut off the flap below the middle 2-3/4″ section.

Place a circle die in the center of the 2-3/4″ X 2-3/4″ square below the 1/2″ flap and run through the Big Shot. Next, you will fold up the first three scored lines to make the base.

Assemble box

Wrap the side piece around the folded base piece and glue the pieces together. This base will hold the coffee candle in place. Fold the back tallest flap up and glue in place last.

Decorate Box

Wrap a strip of Garden Green cardstock around the back piece to hold a gift card in place. I added the ribbon around the coffee candle to hold the coffee tag made with the supplies listed below. You can create the cupcake with the whip cream image and die and the coffee wrap. Have fun giving your coffee themed gift!

Check out the Polished Stone Technique today. With the return of the glossy paper, I am revisiting a few of the techniques I have used in the past with this fun paper.

Polished Stone Technique

You will need ink refills and a high alcohol content rubbing alcohol for this technique. You can see a video tutorial showing you how to achieve these results by clicking here. The large leaf was created with Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze Ink Refills and the smaller leaf was created with Crushed Curry and Soft Suede Ink Refills.

Finishing The Card

To finish up the card, I used the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder to emboss the trees onto the Soft Suede cardstock. One of my favorite ways to mat a focal piece is with black cardstock because it adds so much and has such a classy look. Finished up with some sequins of course. Pull out your re-inkers and rubbing alcohol and give the Polished Stone Technique a try.

The Silhouettes of the buildings cut with the dies from the Hometown Greetings Dies are so beautiful. The sentiment and moon images come from the Hearts Come Home stamp set and coordinate with the die set. These two products are available at bundle pricing right now.

Hearts Come Home Bundle

Save some Silver Foil by cutting out the inside of the Silver Foil layer. You don’t need to have the portion of foil that will just be behind the Color Theory piece layer, so you can just cut it out. I used my cutter to leave approximately one inch of Silver Foil around the edges to peek out behind the Color Theory layer.

Add a few Rhinestone Jewels for stars to complete this serene night scene with the church Silhouette. I left space below the die cut so I can add the sentiment below the buildings. The blue background was so easy to achieve by using a sheet of paper from the Color Theory Designer Series Stack. I love this simple card and the message shared.

When I saw the “open framed” pumpkin from the Pick A Pumpkin set, I fell in love.  The pumpkin looks amazing cut from Copper Foil and with all the copper accents available right now, it is the perfect time to use a copper pumpkin.

Pick A Pumpkin Layers

This fall card looks so amazing with all the different die cut gourds, that I didn’t even need to add a sentiment to the front of the card. It is always nice to have “any occasion” cards on hand. You could always add a sentiment to the front or just add your greeting inside and you are ready to go. The papers from the Painted Autumn and Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stacks are perfect for this fall card.

Another look at the You’re Delightful set with another card for teens. How do you like the “You’re The Best” vertical? I stamped the sentiment and then cut the words apart with my cutter. I love the result of stacking the Lemon Lime Twist colored words.

So, now I needed the right color cardstock for my background. I first tried the solid Peekaboo Peach cardstock and it just right for the card. Next, I tried sponging white cardstock and still not quite right, but I do like the texture you can get by sponging your cardstock. I then spritzed the cardstock with one of the Stampin’ Spritzers filled with rubbing alcohol and Peekaboo Peach refill.

Spritzed Cardstock With A Sponged Pattern

I added a bit of sponging over one of the Pattern Party Masks to get a little bit of design on the cardstock. One reason I really like the spritzed cardstock is that I can create lighter or darker cardstock depending on how much ink refill is added to the Stampin’ Spritzer. To get this color of cardstock, I filled the Stampin’ Spritzer with about 5 drops of refill to a tube of rubbing alcohol.
