Last Peaceful Wish for now

OK, I think I am done posting ideas with this set for now. I really like this set and probably use it for at least some of my Christmas cards. I usually just do one card and mass produce it for everyone. This year I think a will make up a couple of different cards and send out a variety. I am waiting for the City of David set and cannot wait to work with that set.

This card has a few details that were not planned because of a couple of smudges. I also discovered that I do not have gold embossing powder. I cannot believe that I do now have gold embossing powder. I used clear over gold ink, but I really do prefer to have the embossing powder colored instead of clear powder. I think you get a more bold strong color when it is in the powder.

Silver Christmas

Well, after a weekend of not being able to concentrate on much and having computer issues I am finally back on-line posting. A tornado hitting my sister's house in Minnesota kind of blew my concentration even though I live 400 miles away.

The computer appears to be working again so I will take it.

Anyway, this card uses the Peaceful Wishes set new to the catalog this year. I wanted to do something simple and silver and this is what came out of that idea.

On a side note, a picture of my sister's house. ETA: Fortunately my sister and her family are fine.

Blue Christmas

Another Christmas card. This card started out so differently then it ended. I knew I wanted to use these colors with the white gel pen. Well, I made the caramel piece and played with the placement for quite some time. There is some glitter on the berries of the focal image that is hard to see. I am happy with the results.

The color scheme came from my sister's bathroom decorations. You never know where you will get your inspiration.

Christmas Card Time

I have started getting ready for my Christmas Card Planning night. These two samples use the Christmas Thyme Designer Paper available through Stampin' Up!'s mini catalog right now.  They have really fun retro look and coordinate with Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme and Bashful Blue inks. I have also used the Holiday Spirit set available in the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.

The planning night will be Tuesday, October 10th. It is not too early to think about those Christmas cards.

Another Regional Sample

Here is the last card were made at the Minneapolis Regional meeting.  We also did two scrap book pages, but I am going to put pictures on them before I upload them. They look more complete with pictures added. I can't wait to play with this set and make some of my own samples.

Regional Projects

Here are a few of the projects that we stamped at the Stampin' Up! regional seminar in Minneapolis over the weekend. It was a great meeting with a lot of information and ideas I cannot wait to share at classes, workshops and through newsletters. By the end of the day it was tiring to think of all the new techniques and ideas that were presented.

We used the same colors and stamp set for the projects. The set is called "Double Line Doodles" and will be available in the next idea book and catalog. It is a fun set that uses the doodling technique that is so popular. We used Real Red, Cool Caribbean, Marigold Morning, Old Olive and Certainly Celery colors in paper and ink. This card uses up those scraps nicely.

The projects were fun and used neat folds, embellishments and techniques.

A Light Heart

I have been working with the new "A Light Heart" set. This set is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. The cost is $19.95 and $2 from every set sold will be donated to the AHA.  It is only available until September 30th.
This set will be great for Valentine's Day projects.
