One Layer Card

This is one of my favorite cards I have made with the City Of David set. It is so easy and simple. I embossed the images in black. The city scene was colored with pastels. Then I tied the gold cord around the front.

My photo is a little dark, but I hope you get the idea.

Ok, I have had this set a while and have yet to post anything I have done with it.  I have made a few samples, but just have not had the time to get them posted. So, today I made sure that I got one up today.

This sample is done by using markers to color in the different parts of the city stamp. I really like the effect, but I do not know if I would mass produce this card. The circle is done with the Coluzzle cutter. It is hard to see  the linen image stamped on the blue background card stock. I really like circles and have to remember to use them more often.

Silk Scarf

Today's post comes after a long break due to my Arizona vacation. We had a great time and enjoyed the warm weather!

New Nephews

I have had two new nephews born in the last month so I needed to get out cards and gifts. I know I probably have a card here that I could use, but I have not had a chance to use my new Wild about you set so I created new ones. I can't wait until I have a little bit more time to create more cards with this set. It is perfect for zoo scrap pages or baby cards. I can also picture some really cute little boy birthday cards. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will be able to post more samples with this set.

Impressionistic Tree

Here is a card that I made yesterday using the pine from the Lovely As A Tree Set. I used watercolor crayons to color the tree and then stamped it on damp watercolor paper. The tree is colored with two different colors of green to get the color of the branches. After I stamped the tree, I took the two way glue pen and lightly dabbed the tree and then sprinkled the tree with glitter to get a light sparkle look. I cannot wait to use the watercolor crayons with other stamps to get the multiple colors on one stamp. I am not an experienced photographer so I hope you just trust me when I say that it looks better in real life.

Autumn Elegance

Here is my second sample from the Country Blessings kit. This is the set released with Country Living magazine. It truely is an elegant set. I think it has an almost engraved look. So far I have only used it with the colors that are included in the kit. My next step will be to move into other colors.

Country Blessings

Here is my first sample with the
Country Blessings set. This set is included
in the Autumn Elegance kit by Stampin' Up! This kit is a collaboration with the "Country Living" magazine  and is featured in the November issue. The kit includes the stamp set, card stock, ink spots, hardware and other accessories needed to complete 8 copies of a project.

I am offering a Country Blessings class on Tuesday, November 7th at the Bluffs in Houghton. The class will be held at 6:30. The class will include the set and time to stamp 8 projects.
