Spring Flowers

Happy Monday! I do like Mondays because it feels like the start of a week that I can get so much accomplished. It seems like I always have more on my list than I can really get to completion, but Mondays are always the start of a week full of possibilities.

I was looking through my cards and came across this card I had made  some time ago.   It is a simple card, but I love the springy colors and this is one set that I pull out over and over. The flower and leaves are from the Petal Prints set. With the solid and lined images included in this set there are so many ways to get different looks with this set.

Wild Birthday

My daughter needed a birthday card for a party so I  had to make one. Actually I  do have several already made, but I think this little girl really likes animals so I wanted to use this set. I also used the rough texture wheel. This card is inspired by other cards I have seen.

I had to have this set when I first saw it in the catalog. It is so darling and has so many possibilities. Birthdays, zoo pages and baby projects. Thanks for looking.

Use the Whole Sheet

At the class that I offered this week we used one whole sheet of 12X12 designer paper as an element on 16 different cards. This is a great idea that Stampin' Up! shared with its demonstrators last month. The wonderful part of using a sheet of the double sided designer paper is that you increase your choices by using the different sides. We used the Au Chocolat paper from the Spring Mini-Catalog as our element for the card class. One great thing that you can do with the Au Chocolat paper is that you can add color and alter the look of the paper. These cards did not vary a lot from card to card, however each person easily finished 16 cards with in the time of the class.

Balmy Breezes

I had some time over the weekend to stamp. I have seen several samples using this set lately and wanted to take some time to work with it. I used watercolor paper and painted the tree. The sentiment is from the hostess set Warmest Regards.

Opportunity Night Give Away

I am hosting an Opportunity Night tonight at The Bluffs in Houghton. I have embellished these calendars to give to each person that attends. So if you want to know about the Stampin' Up! business opportunity please come by at 7:00 tonight.

I used the Recollections designer paper and Cranberry Crisp stitched ribbon. I printed the year and word planner on the computer. These are pretty quick to make and look so much better then the way they came.

A Simple Birthday

I have not used the Background Sampler set as much as I thought I would. I still have many ideas but just do not seem to grab this set. I finally had a chance to work on one of the ideas this weekend. I really like cards that look simple and clean.

I used the Background Sampler, Simply Sweet, and Small Sayings sets, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy craft ink, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip card stock.

Pink Giraffe

This Bundle of Joy set from the Spring mini catalog so darling. I just love making cards with it. This card is also unique because I actually used some chipboard and a button. I love buying the fun accessories and then I have a hard time using them up. So I took the plunge last night and actually used some. The chipboard is colored with Pretty In Pink Craft Ink and then embossed with the Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  I also used the Rebecca designer paper, Itty Bitty Backgrounds and Warm Words stamp set. Remember the Warm Words set is on special until the end of the month.

Chalkboard Pastels

I recently made this card using the pastels on lighter card stock and then decided to try the same layout using the chalkboard technique on dark card stock. This technique is not usually one of my favorite, but I really like how this card turned out. To achieve this look you need to use a white craft pad on dark card stock and put the pastels over the white craft ink.

Soccer Fun

My children signed up for soccer for the first time last summer. They both had the time of their lives and can not wait for it to start this summer. I am glad that they both enjoyed the season and had a good experience. Now I am trying to make a page for each of my children to put in their scrapbooks. This page will be opposite the group and individual photo that I purchased from the professional team photographer. I used the colors from her uniform and the colors surrounding the team photo. This is part of the two page spread, but I do not have permission for showing all those children so I am going to show only my daughter's portion.

I used the Rough Texture wheel, Well Worn Alphabet and Stamp of Authenticity sets.
