Hostess Set Garden Silhouettes

I just received the Garden Silhouettes yesterday and was so excited to use it. It is one of the exclusive sets that you can receive with your hostess benefits. I also used Soft Sky, Blue Bayou and Wild Wasabi which are all current In-Colors. I also used the double stitched ribbon and the hostess set So Many Sayings for the small saying on the lower right corner.

Here is one version of the card my workshop guests made this month. This card showcases the Three For You Punch Box special that is available until the end of August. City Of David Christmas Card

Purely Pomegranate Snowflake Spot

I used the Snowflake Spot and Peaceful Wishes for this card. I love the Purely Pomegranate and Always Artichoke colors together for Christmas. I am going to use those colors this year. I am sure I am influenced by the Holiday Harmony designer paper in the Holiday Mini Collection catalog.The paper is absolutely gorgeous. I love the deep rich colors.

In the center of the card I placed a clear rhinestone brad from the Pretties kit available in the Fall/Winter collection. The corners are done by layering some of the Holiday Harmony paper on Always Artichoke photo corners. The photo corners punch is great because it punches out two sizes of corners that you can layer. I purchased this punch because I knew it would be great for scrapbooking, but I am also using a lot with card making.

A Simple Tree

Here is a  sample of a very simple card card made with the Lovely As A Tree set.  It is a card  inspired by a few I have seen on the web. The trees in the square are stamped with Versamark and daubed with Stampin' Pastels. The tree in the foreground is stamped with Always Artichoke and the Chocolate Chip marker. The look of this card is amazingly easy to create.

Holiday Harmony Christmas

I have started my Christmas Card ideas for this season. It seems like once I start I just want to work on Christmas ideas until I just need a change. Anyway, I got my start tonight.

I used the Peaceful Wishes set with the Star Studded Seasons set. I love the sayings in the new Star Studded Season set that is available in the new Holiday Collection mini catalog. I plan to use the sayings over the next few years because it is so versatile. The Designer paper "Holiday Harmony"is also from the Holiday catalog. I paired the paper with Always Artichoke and taffeta ribbon.

The copies of the catalog I selected to have sent out from Stampin' Up! have started reaching my customers. If you do not receive your copy and want to see one please let me know. It will be posted on my web site on the first of September.

Wax Paper Resist Technique

I used the Wild About You  and Canvas stamp sets to complete this card. I also used the new photo corners punch and cutter kit for accessories. All of the items used are available in the Fall/Winter Collection catalog from Stampin' Up!

Holiday Harmony Stampin' Up! Star

Have you ever admired the gorgeous paper stars in the 2007 Fall/Winter Stampin' Up! Collection on page 171?  I know the ladies at my workshop in Houghton last night really liked them. The sample in the catalog is made with the Wintergreen designer paper available in the current catalog. I made these beautiful stars using the Holiday Harmony designer paper available in the Holiday Mini Collection 2007 catalog.  You could also make the stars using  the "Dashing" designer paper from The Fall/Winter collection catalog for a Christmas look.

These stars made in larger sizes can be used as home holiday decorations and the made in smaller sizes would make a beautiful garland or package tags. I can see many possibilities with the pattern and designer paper.

Another Punch Sample

Some time ago I shared a couple of cards from the punch class I did recently. I had other things come up and have not been able to share the others. Today I am sharing another card that the class participants made that night. This card uses the oval punch to make a flower. The greeting is from the set "Stem Sayings."
