Here is my first sample from the new Occasions mini-catalog. This set is called "In The Stars". I was inspired by a few different cards that I saw on Splitcoast Stampers. I just love the colors: Bashful Blue, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wasabi. I also used the new striped Bashful Blue ribbon on this card.

Wow! Where has February gone? It seems like the month just started and now it is already toward the end. This last week has been so busy which explains for the lack of posts. Between things scheduled for the children and my stamping events it has just been crazy.
This is one of the cards that the Sale-A-Bration Stamp-A-Stack participants made last night in Houghton. The cards were all designed around the different Sale-A-Bration sets.

I received the "Embrace Life" stamp set from my upline by winning one of her contests. Thanks Gloria! I could not wait to try this one out. I saw so many neat ideas at Leadership using this set.
This is the first card I made using this set. I stamped the flower image twice and then layered them with dimensionals in between the layers. The images in this stamp set seem to just beg for the Pretties kit. I used one of the half back pearls for the center of the flowers. The colors are Soft Sky, Groovy Guava, and River Rock. I really like the soft look from these colors.
The participants in my mailbox class last week made four cards to put into their mailboxes. All of the cards were made from one of the scalloped notes that are precut and available in the accessories area in the Spring/Summer Stampin' Up! catalog. The scallop notes are available in Kraft, Very Vanilla and Soft Sky. These cards were made from Kraft and Very Vanilla.
The card to the left is made from a 
Kraft scalloped note, new felt fusion flowers, and Berry Bliss designer paper.
The Wishing You Love stamp on the second card is from one of the new level 1 Hostess Set. I used an Ivory scalloped note for this card.
The third card is made from a Kraft Scalloped Note and Purely Pomegranate card stock. The stamp set is "Priceless". The words "special wish" are stamped with the "Everyday Flexible Phrases" Set.
The last card also uses a Very Vanilla s
calloped note, Priceless and the Berry Bliss paper.
I wanted to sit down last night and work with some of the new Sale-A-Bration stamp sets. I pulled out the Friendship Blooms set and decided that I would also use the coordinating rub-ons called Love & Happiness. Rub-ons are new to me so I have really been enjoying experimenting with them. I also had a really fun stamping this card because I did not have a specific purpose so I just played until I was happy with the card. I ended up also pulling out the new Felt Fusion flowers and that did dictate the color direction that I used. The flowers in a row are stamped on with Chocolate Chip ink. The saying in the lower left is a rub-on and the flowers are the felt flowers from the Flower Fusion kit.

This is one of the projects that my club members did this month. I cannot get enough of the gorgeous satin ribbon. It is available as part of the Theater Originals ribbon package.

This is the card that we did for a Make & Take at the New Catalog Open House last month in Houghton. This sample is made using the Friendship Blooms from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

This card is a sample using the "Lots of Thoughts" set from the Sale-A-Bration stamp choices this year. I was inspired by a card that I saw on Splitcoast Stampers.
The little square focal sentiment is from the stamp set "Lots of Thoughts". The stamps from the "Lots of Thoughts" can be used a couple of ways. They can be used as is or use just the title or the saying. If you want to just use a portion of the stamp use your markers. If you want better directions be sure to contact me. The Mellow Moss stamped piece of card stock is wheeled with the "Leaves A La Carte" jumbo wheel. The Lovely Lilac card stock is stamped with the "Tres Chic" background stamp.

Can I say that I love this set!!! This is what I worked on tonight during the Super Bowl. Well, I did a few other things too.
I think this heart is so beautiful embossed in white on colored card stock. It gives a card such an elegant look. It is hard to tell in this scan, but I did a lot of stamping on the patterned paper from the Designer Series Berry Bliss. The Berry Bliss paper is available in Spring/Summer Stampin' Up! Catalog & Idea Book.
I also used the new rub-ons now available through Stampin' Up!'s catalog. The little stars on the wide red grosgrain ribbon is done with rub-ons.
