Getting Caught up!

  I am so excited that I am finally getting caught up on things I put to the side when I was sick this spring. This is the second one of these diaper bags that I completed this month. They were gifts for my sisters that had babies quite a while back. At least the babies are not walking yet. I had a hard time sending this one off today because I was tempted to keep it for myself! It is from an Amy Butler pattern (love her stuff) and Anna Griffin material. What  great combination.

I also made a card to send a long with the bag. This card uses a retired baby set with the new  Bella Rose paper, Top Note die, Pink Pirouette paper, double stitched ribbon, library clip and new scallop edge punch. All of the new things are available in the new catalog. The little library clip with the narrow pink ribbon tied around it is what I used to attach the sentiment. Unfortunately it covers up most of the clip, but I really liked the little added touch.

It feels so great to finally get some of those things hanging around back there done!

Upsy Daisy

Well, I had a post that I thought had posted and then when I went to check it was gone. This is my first experience losing a post with Typepad. Anyway, here is a sample using the new set Upsy Daisy which is on sale for 15% off right now. See the brochure over to the left side.

Fun New Stuff

Ok, I have looked through the last few cards I have made and decided that I am not sure if I make a card without ribbon. I am going to challenge myself to make a project without ribbon.

On to the fun new stuff that I have used in the card. My new stuff just came yesterday and I have had some time to play with it today. The New colors used are Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss. I also used the new exclusive Top Note die with my Big Shot that will be available in September. The stamps are Pocket Silhouettes (which is on sale right now!) and the level 1 hostess set Best Yet. The new designer paper is called Urban Garden and it represents just one of the gorgeous new designer papers available in this catalog. I am going to work with some more of the fun new products I ordered.

Pun Fun

Well, I have not had much time to stamp between the kids home for summer and I am also sewing diaper bags for my sisters that had babies quite a while back. I bought and planned the bags back when they were pregnant and then I started having morning sickness so they were put on hold. Now I am trying to get them done before they do not need diaper bags any longer.

So after that explanation, I am sharing a card that I made for my son to bring to a birthday party. I used Pun Fun, Classic Stars Wheel, star punches and new colors. In addition to the new in-colors Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point, I also used a cuttlebug template to emboss the happy birthday that I ran through my Big Shot (Stampin'  Up! now carries the Big Shot and I am so excited!).

Nursery Necessities with new product

I had fun working with some new and old product. I used the Nursery Necessities set (which was in the last catalog and still available in the current catalog) with the new in-color Pink Pirouette. I wasn't sure that I would really need this pink with the others, but it is really pretty and I like it better than I thought I would. The patterned paper is from the Bella Rose collection and the Pirouette Pink card stock is run through a Cuttlebug embossing folder that I used with the Big Shot. I cannot wait for the exclusive Stampin' Up! dies I ordered for the Big Shot to arrive at my house. The Big Shot and exclusive dies will be available for purchase starting September 2nd. Lastly, I used the great new scallop edge punch to create the scalloped edge. I really enjoyed making this card.

New Catalog today!

 

Today the new Fall/Winter catalog will be available! There a a lot of fun new sets and I have really enjoyed working with the new in-colors. New Hostess Set

I tried another card using the Happiness Always Hostess Set. This is one of the sets that you can earn by holding a $500 workshop. I also used the new Tangerine Tango card stock and ink. One of the new in-colors.

I think the colors look a little off in the picture on my monitor. I used Fundamental Phrases, Happiness Always, Sincere Salutations, and Tres Chic stamp sets. Card stock: Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, Tangerine Tango, and Very Vanilla. Ink: VersaMark, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and Not Quite Navy. Accessories: Felt Flowers, olive polytwill and Styled Silver hardware. I am going to really miss the narrow polytwill. They have a wider one available in the new catalog.

The new scallop punch

I did this card with some friends last night. It was fun to work with new products: scallop punch, Dreams du Jour stamp set, and Baja Breeze card stock.

The tiered bow was in one of our recent SU! newsletters and I just love the look. I have been using this bow a lot lately.

Another Sneak Peak

I am using another new stamp set that will be available in the Fall/Winter catalog. The set is Dreams du Jour and is available for purchase in the new catalog. I also used Bella Rose designer paper, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss inks, and Olive polytwill. I have not actually received my new catalog yet so I am not sure if the polytwill will be available again. I really hope it is because I love it. I know that they have expanded the ribbon section. I am making it a goal to play with my new stuff and will be sharing it over the next few days. 

New Hostess Set

Here is one of the new hostess sets from the Fall/Winter catalog. I pre-ordered it a while ago, but I have finally used it. The last few days I have been kind of glued to my computer watching for all the convention news.

Stampin' Up! has announced that that they have partnered with Sizzix and we will be selling the Big Shot and a variety of the dies with some of them exclusive to Stampin' Up! Shelli, the woman that owns the company, will have her own line that will introduced in the Holiday mini-catalog. Right before the convention SU! announced that online ordering will be available this fall. It is going to be an interesting fall with several of the changes coming.

My card sample is made using the new hostess set Happiness Always, new scallop edge punch, new in-colors (Pirouette Pink, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss), and the new designer paper called Bella Rose. I hope you enjoy the a peak at some of the new products coming out. I am hoping to have my new catalog any day.
