Sweet Stems Set

This is a set of 3X3 cards that my club made recently. We used the Sweet Stems set and The Raspberry Tart designer paper. I really like this paper set in small pieces. It was fun to use this designer set to make the note card set. Sometimes this 3X3 canvas size if really fun to work with. I was also able to use a lot of the fun new tools in the Spring/Summer Stampin' Up! catalog.

Quick Thanks

Here is a very quick Thanks card! I have been stamping, but it is not on things to share here. I took the time to make this quick card and post it today. I know it is going to be a very busy week, but I will try get in here as often as I can.

This card uses the Baja Breeze print patterns designer paper and the Parisian Breeze Specialty paper. I absolutely love this Parisian Breeze paper. I think I will have go order another package sooner than later. I am also trying to use us my pretties kit because I tend to hoard special embellishments. I also used the new eyelet edge punch.

Birdie on a branch

Birdie on a branch is what my 4 year old called this card. I really like this Stampin' Up! set called "Cheep Talk". This is kind a of departure of style for me, but I am really enjoying the trendy fun stuff Stampin' Up! came out with in this current catalog. I also love the Texturz plates that are available for The Big Shot.

This card is also the make and take for my open house tonight at The Bluffs in Houghton. The colors are Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss and Pumpkin Pie. I think I may change the "a special note of thanks" image to pumpkin pie. I think the color change will flow better.

This set jumped out at me

On my first glance through the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer catalog this set jumped out at me. I think it must have also attracted a lot of other people because it went through a short back order time. Anyway, this set fills a need in the thoughts and prayers area and it is also beautiful. Please ignore the weird curve to the left. The curve is because I scanned it in and the buttons kind of caused a distortion.

I also used the Parisian Breeze specialty paper. This paper has a wonderful texture and is cover weight. The tree is embossed in white. The lower Chocolate Chip card stock is run through the Big Shot over the Texturz plate and then I highlighted the Harlequin design with white craft ink.

Sale-a-Bration class sneak peak

This is the box in a bag package that has been floating around the web that I decided to include as the project for the SAB class this month. It is amazingly easy and quick to make so it is perfect for a class with four additional cards. I used Stampin' Up!'s  Polka Dot Punches set for this project.

Happy Valentine's Day

Well, it's my last Valentine's Day card for this year. I hope you have a special day with the special people around you.

I always wonder how come I notice how crooked things are after I scan them in. Or maybe it is scanned crooked. Anyway the colors are Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White.

My Version of the Bookmark

Attendees at the past Stampin' Up! Convention made a great looking ribbon bookmark. I didn't have the exact supplies so I made my own version with flowers I cut from chipboard on my Big Shot. I also used the new textured card stock weight designer paper. This paper is called Parisian Breeze Specialty. It comes as double sided 12X12 card stock. I used Chocolate Chip craft ink to color the sides and add a bit of color around the edges. The hardware is made from the Filigree brads. These brads are well made with some weight to them.

Polka Dot Punches hearts

Ok, it really isn't the best picture. I was trying to get the sparkles from the glitter, but I managed to get shadows instead.  I was trying so many different hearts that now I have so many hearts stamped with different color and glitter combinations. I guess I better get more Valentine cards made so I can get them in the mail before the weekend.

I used Rose Red, Pretty In Pink and Whisper White for the colors. The pink heart has red glitter adhered with heat and stick powder. The other heart is embossed with white powder. The Happy Valentine's Day is embossed with the Iridescent Ice glitter over Rose Red ink.

Sale-A-Bration Congrats set

It has been a couple of really busy days here and I have not really had the chance to stamp like I have been. This card was inspired by a Hero Arts card I saw somewhere on the web. I used the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration set, Delicate Dots Designer paper, Simple Flower Embosslit die for The Big Shot and the half pearls from the Pretties kit. It is kind of hard to see the white card base, but there is one.

The mess in my office represents the few minutes I have had to run in stamp before I get back to being a mom. I will have to take time to clean it up tomorrow because right now it is hard to see the surface of my desk. It is amazing how much easier it is to take things out than put them back!!!
