Trendy Trees with button

I love this Stampin' Up! set Trendy Trees! It is also fun to pair it with fun colors like Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and Not Quite Navy. I think bold colors make it a bright and cheery card.

I saw this button embellishment on a card sample in my blog surfing and though it was the greatest idea. I like how it takes care of the holes in the center of the button and adds interest.

A Good Egg Easter Wish

I was looking for a way to use the egg image from Stampin' Up!'s A Good Egg set. The eggs have glitter glitter sparkles on them, but it is hard to see in the picture. The designer paper is called Tea Party. The banner is popped up with 2 dimensionals in the center.

Blue Birthday Bird

How is that for an alliteration? I really love this Stampin' Up! set Friends 24-7. I really must figure out however if I could actually use it with different colors.

This card came together very easily and is pretty simple. I really like all the mat layers around the birds. There is also some piercing on the lower left edge of the bird that is hard to see.

So Tweet Chipboard Bird

I don't do square cards very often, but the chip board bird from Stampin' Up!'s "So Tweet" chipboard set is on the larger side. I decided to make a 5X5 card and pair it with the "Good Morning Sunshine" designer paper. I may also have to order the Pacific Point corduroy buttons because I think this card is just begging for one in the upper right corner.

Friends with corduroy buttons

I ordered the corduroy buttons because I wanted to try them out and they were one of the fun new accessories that Stampin' Up! introduced in the Spring/Summer catalog. I did not know how much fun they would be! I love the Kraft corduroy buttons with the "Friends 24-7" stamp set.

I like adding piercing as an accent because you never run out and it adds so much to the cards. I also used Chocolate Taffeta ribbon.

Fifth Avenue with Glitter

I really like the Cosmo Glitter with the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set by Stampin' Up!. This card also uses the the set Thank You Kindly. The colors are Baja Breeze, Basic Gray (another one of my favorites), Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White and Urban Oasis.

I saw this focal piece somewhere on the web and then changed it up to make a circle and the glitter. I cut out the circle with the new Circle Scissors Plus. I love how you can cut quite a variety of circles.

Scene In A Garden Preview

I finally had a chance to use the "Scene In A Garden" set from Stampin' Up!'s Occasions catalog that will be available April 1st. I really like this garden set. It just begs to be water colored. This card is sized to fit into an open end envelope.

I used Old Olive, Whisper White, Brocade Blue, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip colors.

So Tweet Owl

I think this chip board owl is so cute! He is available in the So Tweet chip board collection. He is so trendy and fun. I paired him with the tree branch from Stampin' Up!'s "Cheep Talk" set and the designer paper "Good Morning Sunshine".

The owl is colored with Close To Cocoa craft ink and the Flower is colored with the Pacific Point ink. I used the scalloped edge punch to make the scallops on the Pacific Point card stock. The little white card stock circles are cut with the 1/2" circle punch and placed under the eyes to pop them up.

Sizzlit Bold Cupcake

Everyone at the stamping class last night made this cupcake card using the Big Shot. This package of Big Bold Cupcake sizzlits coordinates with Stampin' Up!'s Big Bold Cupcake stamp set. I love the idea I ran across to run the bottom of the cupcake through the crimper to make the ridges. It adds so much to the card.

The frosting is cut from one of the print patterns hostess pack of paper. There is glitter on the flames and flower that is a bit hard to see. I also had them run the Certainly Celery piece and the card base through the Big Shot on the small dots Texturz Plate. The ribbon is the twill tape ribbon available through the Sale-A-Bration set promotion. (Which only has 11 days left.)

Friends 24-7 Birthday

I don't know if this set is my style or not, but I just loved it so I was excited to work with it. Plus all of the wonderful cards I've seen made by others pushed me over the edge. I saw the focal image piece on a card in SCS.

The fun new stuff in this card are the corduroy buttons, scallop eyelet punch, Parisian Specialty designer paper and the Friends 24-7 stamp set. I also used the Texturz plate through the Big Shot to emboss the card base.
