It's Here!

The last day of April that is. That means that today is the last day to take advantage of the Stampin' Up!'s Get Connected campaign. All you have to  do is $40 from the Occasions catalog or place an order of $150 to receive one of the Under $10 items FREE. The little kits on that page are wonderful. There is a birthday or thank you kit. These kits include, paper, stamps and ink.

Here is what I did with Forest Friends

This Forest Friends stamp set is so darling in the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog and then when I received it I was not sure what to do with it! This is the card I came up with today. I may still tweak it a bit.

In the upper left corner I used the jumbo grommet also from the Occasions catalog. I learned that you can only push it through one layer of card stock and do not do it straight into your fingers. I punched out a 1/2" circle of the Whisper White and Chocolate Chip card stock so that I could set the grommet.

A Masculine Card!

Wow, masculine cards just do not flow easily for me. Maybe that is why I do not make very many of them. When I sit down to make a card I have to really consciously make an effort to make a masculine card.

For this card I used a set on the dormant list called Wonderful You. Even though this set is on Stampin' Up!'s dormant list, it is still available for ordering. I did stamp off the Ruby Red images on scratch paper so that they would be a bit lighter.

Working through my SAB sets

Well, I received my Sale-A-Bration sets last week and I have been happily working with them. This is the Stampin' Up! set Petal Pizazz.These are regular catalog sets that I earned with my sales during the Sale-A-Bration sales period. It is so much fun to get new FREE stamps!

Hooray For Owls!

I finally have this Stampin' Up! Owl Together Now set from the Spring/Summer Catalog. I earned this set with my Sale-A-Bration sales rewards. I had a chance to ink it up and pair it with the Good Morning Sunshine designer paper. I did put a birthday hat on the owl, but you could leave it off and celebrate something else!

It is so fun when Stampin' Up! puts out so many different products with the same theme like owls. You could use chip board, designer paper and stamps all the owl theme.

This is the last week for Occasions Special!

 

This card is made with the Under $10 stamp card kit that you can earn with the Stampin' Up! April special. The set comes with the cards, envelopes, stamp and a Chocolate Chip ink spot. I did add the Pink Pirouette flower and silver brad.

The "Trio Flower" punch is one punch that I have really used often to add little flowers to many of my cards. They are perfect to add a bit or fill an empty space.

Happy Arbor Day!

I thought I would celebrate Arbor Day with a tree card. It doesn't hurt that I just received the Branch Out set from Stampin' Up! yesterday. I have had my eye on this set since the Spring/Summer catalog was released in January.

I used the Branch Out set with the On Your Birthday set and the Bella Birds designer paper. I did use Handsome Hunter ink for the tree, but I did stamp it off first so that it was a bit lighter and didn't overshadow the leaves. This card makes me feel like spring.

Wow the matchbox die is easy!

I made up two of the matchbox die boxes for the Big Shot quickly. If fact I made them while I was talking on the phone with technical support for my computer.

I used retired papers because these were my test ones. The box is made from Cool Caribbean (last year's in-color) and the other color is Groovy Guava (also last year's in-color). The butterfly is made with the Butterfly die for the big shot from designer paper. See the other pictures for close ups.

First Ever Blog Candy

Here it is my first ever blog candy. It consists of the Polka Dot Punches stamp set, Delicate Dots designer paper and the coordinating ribbon. All of these items are designed to work together. The ribbon is two separate spools of ribbon (one is So Saffron and one is Certainly Celery).
