Oval All Wedding

I resisted this Stampin' Up! Oval All set, but I kept seeing so many great samples and then thinking as I was making cards that this set would be so perfect.

This is one of the few times that I created the card in my mind before I actually made the card. It really made the card come together quickly and I am really happy with the results.

Trees and Rolling Trees

The Stampin' Up! Trendy Trees stamp set is so much fun! I ordered the standard stamp around wheel that coordinates with the Trendy Trees set a while ago and I have been excited to put together with the set.

This card was actually very easy and quick. To ink the wheel I rolled it over a regular Kiwi Kiss stamp pad several times until it was inked. Then I rolled it along the bottom of the card base. I most often use my wheels this way so I can use any color I want. You just have to remember that the ink will fade after one rotation so you need to re-ink every pass.

Today I am featuring a video featuring window sheets offered by Stampin' Up! This video will have more tips and techniques using window sheets like I used yesterday for the clear butterfly card.

I have been playing a lot with the Beautiful Butterflies die for the Big Shot and created a fun card with the printed window sheets. You can do so many creative things with Stampin' Up!'s Beautiful Butterflies die for the Big Shot. This time I ran window sheet through and cut out this butterfly. After cutting it out I stamped it with white Stazon ink.

I stamped the grass underneath on the textured Certainly Celery card stock and then stamped on the printed window sheet using Stampin' Up!'s Flight of the Butterfly inked with white Stazon. The cut out butterfly is adhered with mini-glue dots.

I hope you can get the feel for this card because it is a trickier card to photograph.

Have I told you I love Mini-Glue Dots?

Many Mini-Glue dots were used in the making of this card. Glue dots are so great for holding on those 3-D images that you want to stay put. I feel like I can always trust a mini-glue dot to hold on items like the half backed pearls and the butterflies. The butterflies and stuck in the center with the wings left free to flutter up.

I really liked the layout of yesterday's card, but I wanted a birthday card and felt the flower made it too serious so I re-did the card without the flower. How do you like my second similar card?

I did not use the flower from the Stampin' Up! set Inspired by Nature and instead used two butterflies cut with the Big Shot. I really like the dimension and way the elements come off of this card. I made this card for my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday Mom!

Inspired Butterflies

This set right now is on the dormant list (meaning it is not in the catalog, but is available for purchase) and I really hope it is not on the Last Chance list that will be announced on June 1st. The last chance list is the new name for the retired stamps list.

Summer is Coming! Summer is Coming!

If I say that enough will that make it true!! We had snow yesterday. Snow on May 15th! Well, now tomorrow it is supposed to be in the 60s so maybe things will improve and we will be enjoying the images on this card.

I have actually had this Stampin' Up!'s Life's A Breeze set a while and am finally getting a chance to use it. I think that I will work with it some more tomorrow.

Fun Projects for the Big Shot Class

This project does not use many stamps at all, in fact only 1 sentiment. It was also incredibly easy and quick to make.

This box is made with the Sizzix Box #2 die. Flower Daisies die, and Lots of Tags die. The designer paper is Good Morning Sunshine and the solid colors are Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip and Summer Sun. Because I do not have any Summer Sun ribbon, I tied a scrap of paper over the corduroy button with linen thread.
