Scallop square makes a great card!

Kids love fun cards and the Scallop Die for The Big Shot makes a great kids card. I love how you can just put the fold under the top edge and get an opening card.

Looking at this card I just realized that I think it needs a little bit of glitter. I will have to go and add that! Glitter is always wonderful on a kid's card.

Last 2 days/Christmas Stamping Has Started

Today I started my Christmas stamping. I was able to finally use this Berry Christmas stamp set from the upcoming Holiday mini-catalog (which is great by the way!). I will be doing quite a bit of Christmas stamping for a while here.

In order to highlight the embossed flowers, I lightly brushed them with Craft White ink and a dauber.

Bella Bloom Color Challenge

It has been a while since I was able to just create for me so I decided to springboard from the SCS Color Challenge. The Colors for SCS 232 are Taken With Teal, Close To Cocoa, and Very Vanilla. I started with the Pocket Silhouettes set, but some how my ideas evolved to using Stampin' Up!'s Bella's Bloom set. I think this will make a beautiful Thank You card.

I love the Stampin' Up! Lots of Tags Sizzlits set for The Big Shot, and this is by far my favorite tag of the four. I like the way the wide oval punch fits perfectly in the center of the tag.

Reflective Pheasant

I wanted to use the reflection technique with window sheet and I thought the pheasant from Stampin' Up!'s Autumn Days stamp set would be perfect for this technique.

I used a piece of window sheet to create the reflection in the water. It is amazingly easy to do and if you want to see this technique in person be sure to contact me to schedule your own workshop.

Fall Sneak Peek

Here is one of the new fall stamp sets from the fabulous upcoming Stampin' Up! Holiday mini-catalog. This may be the best mini-catalog I have seen in my 11 years as a demonstrator! It definitely has the most variety of new products offered. This stamp set is called Gifts of the Earth.

Well, on to this card. I have not been a wide ribbon person, but I really like these striped ribbons that Stampin' Up! is now carrying. I really like them for gift wrap and special projects and want to see how I can use them with cards.

Autumn Rub-ons

This 3X3 card is made from a scrap and rub-ons. Two things I don't use very often. I had cut out a box using the Fancy Favors Die for the Big Shot from Stampin' Up! and noticed one of the scraps laying on my desk. I thought it would make a perfect addition to a card. I cut down the piece and used it to make the card coordinate with the box.

The center of the oval frame is a rub-on on a piece of More Mustard card stock and then punched out with the wide oval punch. The frame is cut out with the Lots of Tags Sizzlits with the Big Shot.

I couldn't resist another one

I came across this color combination and I knew that it would be perfect for a Build-A-Bear workshop card. I used the Beary Nice Wishes and Beary Best Friends stamp sets that Stampin' Up! will release in the Holiday mini-catalog in September.

I decided to make it for a 5th birthday since my son will be turning 5 in October and I will already have his card finished.

Pawsitively Perfect Thank You

It could not be better timing to make a Build-A-Bear thank you card. My son was fortunate to have his name drawn in a summer reading program to win a wonderful bike. He will write a letter to include with this card to the program committee.
