The little piece of darker paper is actually made from paper toweling. I saw this technique on a Stampin' Up! video and had to give it a try. The focal image is stamped with stamps from Stampin' Up!'s Autumn Splendor stamp set and the greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
A quick description of the technique is that you ink up textured paper toweling, spritz with water, and then clear emboss. I will show a video of this project tomorrow so be sure to come back. Look below for a close up of the paper toweling.
