An Inspiring Countdown!

Today I used the Fresh Vintage Sale-A-Bration stamp set with colors inspired by the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper. This is my favorite Sale-A-Bration set and I am glad that I have my set. Don't miss out on getting your set today.

I think this year Stampin' Up! has put out the best Sale-A-Bration catalog in the 14 Sale-A-Bration events that I have done as a demonstrator. It has a nice variety of products to pick from and I like how they included Big Shot items. The Big Shot is so popular and the folders were very popular with my customers.

Rock and Roll Technique: I used the Rock and Roll technique for the largest flower image. I first stamped the image in Pool Party ink and then rolled the edges in Lucky Limeade. When doing this technique you want the darker color rolled over the lighter color. Remember to do the lighter color first so that you do not contaminate your light ink with dark ink. You must wash your stamp between each inking. If you do not was you image first you will get muddy colors.

I used the Saturday Card Sketch Challenge from 2 Peas for the layout of this card.

How to Make This Darling Easter Carrot With Video

Wouldn't these be so cute on your Easter table? They are so cute and so easy to make that it would not take long to make one for everyone dining with you. It is quick to cut out the carrot with the Petal Cone Die and the sentiment piece is easily punched out with a few punches.

The carrot top is just made with strips of designer paper that I corrugated with the paper crimper and glued in place. I trimmed them to different lengths and then curled them to add some interest.

I used the dotted paper from the Print Patterns paper pack, but I think I will make more of them and maybe use textured paper or stamp plain paper for my next carrots.

Sweet Cherries!

 The cherries from the Mouthwatering set are so cute! I love them when they are embossed because of the shine it adds to the cherries. I even used the cherry smelling embossing powder so I just can't resist smelling them.

The designer paper is from the Sweet Shop Series and coordinates so well with the Mouthwatering set. I picked the colors Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade from the paper to finish out my card.

Lately I can't seem to get enough of the rhinestone or pearl jewels. It add just that last little touch using the jewels. Look at how well the sentiments from the Sweet Cake set coordinate with the Mouthwatering set too. My other last little accessory is the printed Lucky Limeade brad that I add to the ribbon.

I used the Retro Sketch #4 as the layout for this card. It works so well with the cherries from the Mouthwatering set. It makes cards come together so much quicker when I start with a sketch.

It's an Out The Door Birthday Card for Boys

I have 4 boys so I can see  making a lot of boy birthday cards in my future. I had several activities planned this morning and realized as my son Jack was on his way out the door to a birthday party he needed a card. So I make a quick, simple and minimal layer card that I call an "Out The Door" card.I used the plane from the Need For Speed stamp set.

This is a card that is a card that can be made in 2 minutes right before it need it. Now, I don't recommend that you do this often, but it does happen from time to time.

This is not the actual card that I sent with Jack because that one had to go out the door quickly. I remade it with a different set so I would have some on hand. So, no more "OTD" cards for a boy's birthday for a while.

A technique that works great for boy cards is the generational stamping. I stamped the plane in the lower left corner and then repeated it to the upper right with out re-inking the stamp. The repeated stamping shows movement. When I think of boys, my boys anyway, I think of movement. This technique makes a quick and easy card.

It's A Floating Everybunny!

I don't know why I waited so long to get the Everybunny stamp set. It is so adorable and easy to make cute Easter projects. Wow, it has been a long time since I have done this much coloring of open line images. I am having so much fun!

Today I used the Watercolor Pencils and a Aqua painter to color. I tempted to start over, but then I decided to go on. I will have to do another image and work with the pencils some more. It has been a long time since I pulled out the pencils and I think that I need to practice and get back into coloring.

I have really liked using the Boho Blossom punch with the Punch pack punches this spring. It is so easy to make beautiful flowers with these two punches. Adding either pearls or rhinestones just makes the flowers even more beautiful.

Another sketch card today. I used The Deconstructed Sketch No. 44. I am finding that I like starting my card or project from a sketch. It seems to cut down on the thinking time.

Look What You Can Do With Pleated Ribbon!

I am having so much fun with the Everybunny stamp set. The bunnies are so cute and they are so fun to color. I have been using the Watercolor Wonder Crayons with an Aqua Painter and it goes so quickly.

One thing I discovered making this card is that the Pleated Ribbon adds an amazing touch to oval and round shapes. Because the ribbon is already pleated it follows the edge so well. I can't wait to use the pleated ribbon around a focal image again.
