My Digital Studio Tip: Fill a punch with a photograph!

Well, we are at Day 5 and my last official day of My Digital Studio Tips and Tricks! I will have to say though that making these pages and videos has me very motivated to scrap and I love My Digital Studio. It makes scrapbooking so quick!

You know what else I like? If there is an image, embellishment or paper I need, all I have to to do is go the the online store and purchase and immediately download it. I can have it installed within a few minuets and my creating process is not interrupted!

Today's video shows how to take punch shape and fill it with a photograph. It is fun to make your photo into any punch shape. You could even use letters. That would make a really cool title.

My Digital Studio Torn Edges and Sizing Stamps

Welcome to Day 4 of My Digital Studio Tips and Tricks. Today I am showing you how to size your alphabet stamps and add a torn edge to your page. The torn edge adds dimension and a hand made look to your projects.

In today's page I used the Downtown Grundge (love what it can do for your photos), Celebrations Banner, Sweet Details and Extreme Elements downloads.

The year was done with a text font. My Digital Studio uses the fonts loaded on to your computer. The year font is one that I downloaded free from the internet and absolutely love it. I also added a drop shadow and layered to depth to the title.

I have been having so much fun with these scrapbook pages that I may make the My Digital Studio Tips and Tricks a regular feature on my web site.

My Digital Studio Day 3! Backgrounds and Journaling Blocks

I hope you are enjoying the My Digital Studio "how to" videos this week. I have to say it is great to get some scrapbooking done while I make them!

Today's video features one of my favorite features of My Digital Studio. I love the ability to use a photograph for the background. It really gives you the feeling of the event if you can use a photo.

There is also a trick to dropping the opacity of a paper for the journaling block if you do not want the background to show through. Using a bit of copy and pasting makes it super easy.

It is amazing when I scrapbook I have become more aware of the lack of pictures I am taking. I am also realizing the quality of pictures are very important too. It does not come so naturally to me so I need to start thinking about what I want to take when I pull out my camera.

Today's sample is a back to school page. The dotted paper is from the Sweet Details Photobook Template. The Circle and Journaling block is from the School Days Stamp Set which is included with the software. The numbers are also from the origital software purchase and are called Schoolbook Serif Numbers.

Digital Punches make an Incredible Scrapbook Pages! Fun Christmas Page.

I absolutely love the digital punched for My Digital Studio!!! They are so much fun and versatile. In this layout I used the new Alphabet Soup digital punch. The great thing about digital punches is that you can fill them with color, Designer Series paper or even photos.

On this layout I filled the punches with solid color and then I was able to mat them with the black to make them stand out.

This is probably not your typical Christmas layout, but I thought it was a fun way to show Cole's favorite Christmas gift. He was so cute with the Uno Moo game.

I usually make 8 1/2" X 11" for each child and then make 12" X 12" for family pages. When I have several pages done, I order my pages from the Stampin' Up! printing service. A benefit of having Stampin' Up! print your pages is that you know the Stampin' Up! colors will be true to the Stampin' Up! colors.

It's a busy, busy time. Baking today. Already made Peanut Butter Blossom cookies, making fudge and cut outs!! It is the easy no-fail fudge that I shared on this post.

I am sharing a quick page I did in My Digital Studio with the Frosty Days II kit. I did a lot of layering with the snowflakes. I like the dimension it gives to the page.

Pumpkin Carving Scrapbook page with interesting Pictures.

I made it a goal this Halloween to take more interesting pictures. I have been talking about it over on Facebook so be sure to check it out. I think I did pretty well with the pumpkin carving pictures. In fact, I already have my pumpkin carving scrapbook page done and I am really happy with how it turned out!

So, tomorrow night is the big Trick-or-Treating night and dress up. I already know that I want to get pictures of the whole group, individuals and maybe some "at the door" shots. What are your photo plans for tomorrow night?
