Make a bag decoration. I am sharing a few more pictures I took from the Stampin’ Up! Convention this past summer. These cute decorations were added to one of the Chevron Tag A Bag Gift Bag or the Polka Dot Tag A Bag Gift Bag.

Scattered Season Christmas Bag
Using a Tag A Bag Gift Bag is great for creating a quick gift wrap. You can than make embellishments for the bags ahead of time or make them as you need them. The Tea Lace Doilies make perfect backgrounds for your Christmas embellishments.

I like how some of the Sequin Trim was added to 2 of these bags and the Handheld Stapler was used to attach it to the bags. One roll of Sequin Trim goes a long way! you can use it with cards, decorations and many other paper projects.

So, the other day I posted two tags and asked which one people liked better. You can see the tags here.  I loved reading the comments on Facebook and think the snowflake tag edged out the star tag because there was less space between the center star and the frame. I decided to rework it a bit and used some glimmer paper with the next smaller star framelit to make a glittery star for the center.

Star Christmas Tag

I tried it with red like the other tags, but it just looked too much like the Fourth of July so I changed it out to silver. I liked the silver much better.

If I add this tag into the mix, what do you think?

So, I have seen the sneak peek of the Holiday catalog and I really like it. In fact, I have posted a lot of previews over on my Facebook page and they seemed to be very well liked. Today I am comparing a tag made with the outgoing Festive Flurry bundle and the incoming Bright & Beautiful stars.

Christmas Tags
Which do you like better? Are you a snowflake or a star person? The snowflake tag is made from the carry over Festive Flurry set that will only be available through August 27th. The star tag is made with the Bright & Beautiful set (coming soon) set that will be in the new Holiday Catalog.

Snowflake tag
You can download the list of holiday Carryover products available through August 27th. I have noticed that  the new Holiday catalog does not have a Poinsettia set nor is there a set with various snowflakes so if you are interested in these images, be sure to check out the list of carryover list.

I have to get to my daughter’s track meet so it is a fly by post today. I am sharing a tag that I did at a workshop over the weekend with the Fresh Prints DSP (I love this paper) and the Gorgeous Gunge set.

Gorgeous Grunge tag
The Gorgeous Gunge set is a perfect background for this punched and die cut butterfly. The top layer is a piece of vellum embossed with the Modern Mosaic Embossing folder. I love tags and having a layered tag is one of my favorites. The “get well” greeting could easily be changed out for one of the other greetings included in the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. There are so many options with that set.

Wouldn’t it be so pretty to attach this tag to some flowers or a treat to make someone feel better?  I have been working a lot with spritzers and making soft backgrounds and I decided that the spritzed background would be awesome for a get well card or tag as in this case.

Spritzed background get well tag
The spritzing technique works well with regular card stock, as you see here, and also looks amazing on watercolor paper. I have spritzed watercolor paper and then stamped right over it with Stazon and love it.

Simple Stems get well tag with a spritzed background
Did you notice the subtle background on the cut out flower pieces? Cut out by the way with framelits so I didn’t have to do any hand cutting. Love that! two of the flowers coordinate with shapes from the Secret Garden Framelits. To get the subtle background all I did was spritz the cut out flowers with the same color mixed with rubbing alcohol.

Try your hand at spritzing a background to get a soft background and if you need any supplies you can find them in my Online Store.

I love tags and the new Tag Topper Punches are perfect for me! Look how cute the layered tags with the Peachy Keen Stamp Set turned out and I know they would be so fun attached to a gift bag.

Washi Tape

Use the fun Retro Fresh Washi Tape to quickly add some color and interest to the tags. If you haven’t used Washi Tape before, don’t wait any longer. It is so easy to use! You can tear it easily, cut it easily, and the best part is you can pick it up without ripping the card stock and move it. Even after you pull the tape back from the card stock it will still stay down.

Peachy Keen Handmade TagThe Colors

The colors (Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar) were easy to pick because I pulled them from the Washi Tape. Isn’t it wonderful that Stampin’ Up! makes the coordinating colors so I then had ink and card stock to match? This tag is made with the Angled Tag Topper.

Happy Birthday Tag Topper Handmade Tag

This tag was made with the Scalloped Tag Topper.
